Washington State Cougars vs Colorado State Rams
In this bowl we have a match up of two teams that are back in a bowl game after a long absences. We'll see a game between two offensive head coaches but that's about all they have in common. Washington State under Mike Leach loves to throw and could do it on every play, while the Rams will be around 50/50 run/pass. Colorado State is improved, but they just don't have the athletes on defense to slow the Cougar attack.Prediction: Washington State 31 Colorado State 17

Fresno State Bulldogs vs USC Trojans
Out of all the bowls, this might be one of the most intriguing. You have statistically the best passing offense in the nation against one of the most storied programs in history. QB Derek Carr has had a magical season leading the nation is passing and bringing the Bulldogs a win away from a BCS Bowl. His draft stock is rising, but it could really take a leap if he can have a big game against a good Trojan defense. For USC the thing to watch is how hard they are playing. They are in the mix of a coaching change where player favorite Ed Orgeron was passed up for Steve Sarkisian. They always say that bowl games are all about who wants it more, I see Fresno State wanting this game a lot more, wanting to prove that they should have been a BCS Bowl team.Prediction: Fresno State 41 USC 27

Buffalo Bulls vs San Diego State Aztecs
Year in and year out no matter who the opponents are or the name of the bowl, we are always treated to a great game. This year should be no different as Buffalo and San Diego State are two teams that are motivated to end the year with a win. Both teams are on the rebound after a couple of bad years and looking for a bowl win to keep the momentum going forward. Watch for Buffalo LB Khalil Mack who is one of the best players in college football, if San Diego State can't control him it's going to be a long afternoon. Seeing that San Diego State's offense isn't very good, we should see the Bulls escape with the win.Prediction: Buffalo 23 San Diego State 20

Tulane Green Wave vs Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin Cajuns
Most of the games in this year's bowl season are rather lackluster, however this bowl really intrigues me. It should be fun to see these two Louisiana schools face off. We know about the Rajin Cajuns program and their success in the Sun Belt Conference. However the real story is what Tulane head coach Curtis Johnson has done in his two years. The Green Wave snapped their ten year bowless streak are on the upswing. This game is not only for the momentum to end the season, but it also has recruiting ramifications. Look for Tulane to ride their defense to a victory here.Prediction: Tulane 20 Lafayette 13
