Every year the week before the Heisman I give you what my vote would be if I had a ballot. I do vote for the Maxwell and the Bednarik Awards and someday hope to add the Heisman to the list. As for this year it was a crazy Heisman season with no real player taking the award and several more losing it. So who would I vote for? Let's take a look.
1. Jameis Winston QB Florida State
Winston would be my choice to win the award. Since making his first start against Pittsburgh this season he's been nothing short of dynamic. He's lead the Seminoles to huge blowouts each game this seasons and now has them in the National Title Game. He's come up huge in the biggest games and doesn't look like he's playing his first year of college football.
2. Andre Williams RB Boston College
Despite getting injured in the final game of the season, Williams was still able to lead the nation in rushing and get over 2,000 yards on the season. He did that while also facing off against a top 50 defensive schedule. He averaged 6.4 yards per carry and 175 yards per game. Go along with 17 touchdowns and it was a remarkable season for Williams. He's not getting a lot of love because it's a passing game now, but he's been one of the best players this season.
3. AJ McCarron QB Alabama
The fact that AJ McCarron gets no love is criminal. He gets labeled as being a game manager, but he's been so much more. Even in their loss against Auburn, McCarron did nothing wrong. His 99 yard touchdown pass to Amari Cooper gave the lead and another drive gave them a shot at a game winning field goal. McCarron has a big time arm and when called to do so, he makes plays. He's a proven winner and deserves this credit.
